Jess and I grabbed a last minute flight from Luton to Inverness to spend two days catching up with our lovely friends Ann & Geordie Rae (last seen at the beginning of our gap year back in dim & distant October) at their house with stunning views across to the Cairngorms

Norfolk: Docking
We drove to our AirBnB cottage with Ben & Tom, and were joined a day later by my parents for an idyllic hot weekend of endless empty beaches, cobalt blue skies and delicious suppers cooked by Jess & Ben. Oh, and it was Mum's birthday - but we were all forbidden from saying the number...

Kent: Canterbury & Whitstable
We had a relaxing week with Annie celebrating her end of term; concerts, plays, performances and picnics in Canterbury with utterly perfect weather! We were based in Whitsable again - which simply couldn't have been more tranquil, completed by fish 'n' chips on the beach for our last night.
I've been a bit lax with the Zimmerframe blog - but Iceland beckons tomorrow, so standby for more regular posts...
