30 March - 8 April : Les Arcs 1800
We all had a fantastic seven days skiing in Les Arcs, blessed with excellent pistes and sunshine - except for Thursday, when we woke to 10” of fresh powder.... Tom and I shot into the hire shop and swapped our skis for “freeride” planks; what an epic day!

7/8/9 April : Les Arcs - Geneva - Kent
We skied on Saturday in glorious sunshine and empty slopes (changeover day), and had a delicious Savoie ‘death by cheese’ lunch at L’Altiport up above Les Arcs 1800.  We then drove to Geneva where we deposited Jake & Tom with the Howells, so that they could catch a flight to Bristol in the morning, and Jess, Ben, Annie and I pushed on to our motel in Bourg En Bresse.  The blast up France on Sunday to the tunnel went without a hitch, and we had supper and an hilarious games evening with Jo & Andrew S-B in Leigh; return match?!

9-15 April: Harlyn Bay, Cornwall
We collected Annie’s friend Mabel, and drove to Cornwall - stopping for a quick hello / lunch break at the Fentons in Dorset.

Despite the supposedly crappy forecast, we had seven glorious, super-active days in Cornwall: long walks, surfing, tennis, body-boarding, runs, BIG eating and even a sand-castle competition!  Harlyn  Bay out of season is a most wonderful beach - and we were super lucky with the surf. Ben, Annie and Mabel even had a surf lesson.

Tom, annoyingly, can surf properly!!

15-22 April: Cornwall - Iver - Canterbury - Suffolk
Back from Cornwall - with a night at the Briggs’ in Iver en route. Ben back to Kingston Uni, then Annie back to school in Canterbury.  The belated spring heatwave arrived

After a very relaxing three days with my parents - including long morning walks and sunset drinks in the pub (see opening pic of this post!) - Dad kindly gave us a lift to Stansted airport, and we headed to Poland for a few weeks of exploring.
