Kirkstone Pass: The Lake District

Smooth journey from the Peak District to the Lake District, with a detour to visit the grandeur of York Minster. We stayed at cosy Kirkstone Pass Inn, and were blessed with sunshine for a lovely day's walking up to Fairfield (873m), up above Ambleside.

    Love the Lake District! Many memories of Ullswater, Windermere and Sykeside campsite, going back there next year for a mass family holiday.
